How to Get a Refund on Alaska Airlines?


If you’ve got a refund for an Alaska ticket, you can request it online. However, we do not control how these products are presented and how they appear on a page.

All tickets may be returned in full within 24 hours of their original purchase. We will refund the full amount within 20 business days of cash purchases and 7 business days of credit card purchases.

If you purchased your ticket using a credit card, your refund is made payable to the original payment method. If you purchased your ticket online, you may request a refund without having to provide proof of purchase.

Refund Policy Of Alaska Airlines

Requesting A Refund On Alaska Airlines 

The first thing you must do is cancel your booking within one day using a valid reason. Typically, you will get your money back if the ticket is refundable and your cancelling reason is solid. You can also call the airline for a refund.

To cancel a ticket, you can do so online 24 hours before its scheduled departure. You’ll be charged a $125 fee.

First Class (Non-Refundable) is a fee-based product. You need to pay this fee before you can use it.

Award Ticket can be canceled and returned after paying the additional fees.

All fees for First Class, Main Cabin, and Award Ticket are waived off if you are an MVP Gold or Gold 75k status member.

Once the cancellation process is finished, Alaska Airlines will send an email to confirm your confirmation and the ticket number.

Alaska Airlines will offer you a refund within 20 days of purchase if your original payment method is cash. Meanwhile, it only takes seven days to get a refund for credit card purchases. Sometimes it may take more depending on your bank’s processing time.

All eligible tickets are returned to the original form of payment. They can be received within 20 business days after the date of their purchase or within 7 days if using a credit card.

If your ticket was lost, stolen, or destroyed, you can get a refund without a service fee. You can do this by calling or faxing the Alaska Airlines’ Lost Ticket Reissue department.

If you booked using cash, you can get a refund if the flight was purchased more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure.

If you booked using miles with Mileage Plan, they can be redeposited into your account.
